Did I like it? Really, I didn't mind it and I thought the juices tasted pretty good. Some of them were better than others.
Below are just some of the juices I drank while doing my 3 days of juicing.
This juice is mostly carrots
Would I do it again? Not in this life time. I don't think it did a thing for me except make me feel hungry.
While doing it, my tongue started burning more than it has in awhile. I think because it concentrated all the sugars from the vegetables and fruits into the juice.
Now that I am on the alkaline diet, everything has setteled down and I am doing pretty well.
If you are thinking of juicing, let me know how it goes for you. I would be interested to hear if it made you feel better or like me... worse.

I get way to hungry to handle a juicing diet. No way would I survive 3 days unless I completely stopped working out and laid on the couch the entire time. We do have a juicer, though, and like to do wheat grass shots off and on, along with other juices.
I've never done this. I don't think I would be able to, I'm t he opposite of a diabetic (hypoglycemic), when it's time to eat I get shaky and need to eat immediately. Your juices sound good though with the exception of the beets and coconut milk lol. I love both beets and cocunut but I'm not sure I would be brave enough to drink them.
We like juicing but are doing it as an adjunct to regular food. My spouse, the Education Tipster, has heightened blood sugar issues so I don't add any fruit to the vegetable beverages; the concentrated sugars hurt her sugar readings.
Juicing blunts my voracious appetite, a good thing. I know that the vitamins, minerals and enzymes are beneficial.
Be careful with beets, they can aggravate your tongue and cause nausea.
Anthony,
That is how I am going to do it. I won't do it like I did. I don't really think it is all that healthy just doing juices.
Lisa,
I haven't yet tried wheat grass. I have thought about it and thats as far as I have gotten.
Terri,
Its not all it is cracked up to be. I will juice again but only for something to drink, not use it as a food.
I used to juice all the time - and I really loved it and felt better. sandie
Not in this lifetime? LOL! I've never tried juicing at all!
I really love juicing but I could not do it for three days. One day is enough for me.
I was going to come over and see how your juice fast is going and now I know. I'm so sore, I can barely walk. Did I mention that I'm teaching myself tap. Although I do the footwork in Flamenco, the tap is lighter and I got kicked out of a tap class once because I was too heavy (flamenco). My tap shoes are new and stiff and I can almost pour the blood out when I take them off.
Good luck with the diet. Hope it's a success.
Love you
I haven't tried a juice fast, don't think I want too. Your posts are always very informative. I think I must have missed what you are on an alkaline diet for...the candida?
I've never heard of juicing. I love juice but some of these sound undrinkable, lol. : ) Good luck though.
Sandie,
I wish it would of made me feel better. I did like the taste of some of the juices
Hi Liz,
You cracked me up on your post today. Bite Me!! LOL
Bonnie,
It was a challenge, especially when it wasn't making me feel any better.
Manzy,
Glad you stopped over. I know you like juicing.... I just didn't think it was worth it.
I can't believe you keep tapping when it hurts. I am such a sissie.
Chery,
You are right, you might not want to try a juice fast. Yes, I am on an alkaline diet because the doctor thinks it will work better than the candida diet.
Angie,
Happy you can comment again.
I think the first one sounds yummy! I'm so going to try it!
So far my favorite is 4 apples and 1/2 cups cranberries, than I add in enough water for 4 cups. No sugar needed. I stalked up on cranberries to put in the freezer. That's enough to give to all 4 of us.
In the summer I sometimes make more juice than what we need. I put the rest in popsicle molds. The boys love it!
We use our juicer Sat. through Tues. That is when one of use has the day off. Mon. and Tues. my husband doesn't work.
I was going to say one other thing: I didn't know this, but my husband told me yesterday that they make powdered/dehydrated peanut butter. His co-worker mixes the stuff in her smoothies at lunch. They push all the oil and fat out. Great source of protein that way I would think. I'm going to find out where she buys it.
I would only think of juicing if it was milkshakes:)
ps. Thanks for the apron, it is so well made...you are talented
I've been reading a lot about people doing juicing, but I just don't think that it is for me. :(
I love juice & I stick to a vegan diet, but I need to BITE.
I don't think I would have made it 3 days, congrats. ~Mary
My daughter juiced and just loved it. I have a juicer and will try some of your recipes. I have most on hand.
I use to have a juice machine and I must say I did not realize just how yummy and healthy it could be until I started making vegetable and fruit concoctions. The carrot juice is so good and healthy too!
I'm doing a juice cleans this Friday and Saturday...if nothing else, it will help get rid of this lingering head cold...I hope!

I did a 21 day fast (complete water fast the first 3 days, and added 8 oz of live juice in the afternoon and 8 oz vegetable broth in the evening). After the first four or five days, I felt fantastic and regretted ever having to eat again (though I did miss food). This was before I was aware of my candida and leaky gut, so just removing the foods that were making me sick would cause me to feel all better. Would I do it again...maybe...
P.S. I think raw beet juice, though it is excellent for the liver, tastes like the earth. I can only do small amounts of it and mix it with carrots and a bit of apple. It looks pretty anyway... :)
