Herbal Pain Reliever , Helps with Inflmation Too ~ This Is What They Make Aspirin From

White Willow bark is what I use when I have a headache, sinus, back problems or anything I would take an aspirin for.   Last week I hurt my foot and White Willow Bark helped a lot with the pain.
White Willow Bark is what they use to make aspirin.   It is used for pain and inflamations, but supposedly does not cause the side effects aspirn does.

This does work slower than aspirin so give it time. (Be sure to Check with your doctor before trying any herbal medication)

How does White Willow Bark work?   Salicin, is the active compound in white willow bark and the body converts it to salicylic acid.   Salicylic acid lowers the body's levels of pain and inflamation.

White Willow Bark works for
 Lower back pain
Osteoarthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis
Neuralgia to headaches
Toothaches
Menstrual pain
Reducesfever, related to colds and influenza.

You should not take White Willow Bark If..
If you are taking aspirin
If you are sensitive to salicylates
If you have stomach ulcers or gastritis
If you are under 16
If you are pregnant

You say you don't have a knack for writing - three blogs?! I doubt it!!!

Good to know, although with my touchy stomach I probably won't use it myself.

Still, good to pass along!!

Rose and Dreaming,
I do have 3 blogs. I just have a really hard time putting my thoughts into words. You two do it so eloquently.

You too Pearl, I have found so many people who can really write.

Nice to hear from you! I cannot take aspirin because of my stomach but these sound good...for ones without stomach issues

What a great alternative to OTC painkillers. I have to check this out. I don't like to take painkillers but this sounds like a less damaging option. Thanks.

This is a great alternative to other pain relievers like acetominaphen or ibuprofen. I always keep a bottle on hand for myself. It's good to know that you are on the same page as I am. How are you doing? Always love reading your information.

After reading your story the other day about taking this for the swelling in your foot, I ordered some for myself. Thanks so much for sharing!

I think I might get hubby to try this for his back pain. Plus, I'm sure it would work for my migranes. I'll have to order some of this!
