I Can Now Digest Carbs!!

I thought this day would never come.  It has been 3 years since I was able to digest carbs.

I have been through the candida diet, healed the candida... but still had trouble with carbs.  Not just one or two carbs, but ALL CARBS.

What did I do to change that?    I started taking high doses of Vitamin B 2 (Riboflavin)

If you have a Riboflavin deficiency,  your body will have a very hard time in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and protein. All three of these basic food elements require riboflavin if they are to be properly utilized by the body.

I have been taking 3 100mg pills every day.  This is my third day and already I am eating more carbs than I have been able to in 3 years.

I take a 100 MG B 2 with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Today, for the first time in a year, I ate oatmeal for breakfast.   I didn't even take a digestive enzyme with it.  Last night I had a piece of Rye Toast with my supper.   It was not regular rye bread but it was rye, salt and water.... no yeast or sugar added.  It tasted soooo gooood.   Oh... I almost forgot, for my snack yesterday, I ate a rice cake with almond butter and carob chips on it.   A week ago, I would of been sick because I did this....now... Whooo  Hoooo!!!

For the rest of the day, I am going to be good and eat my vegetables so I don't over do it.

I have been trying to figure this problem out for a long time.... finally!! Whew!!  I might be able to start eating what I thought were forbidden foods.

If any of you try this, you may want to check with your doctor first.  I was at my wits end and would try anything.

UPDATE... December 20, 2010,  I am again having trouble digesting carbs.  Have to get this figured out... before I starve to death.

I finally figured out I had parasites!  Be sure to read my posts that you will find on my right sidebar.   I can now digest most all carbs.

Hello! I have found your blog very interesting. I am avoiding sugars for a disorder I have called POTS/Dysautonomia. There are some great information on your blog I have found useful!
I hope you are having a symptom-free day :)

I am so happy for you! Every step in the right direction is worth celebrating. When I was diagnosed I was told to take a super B stress formula vitamin because our bodies don't handle stress of any kind well and we need the extra B's. Maybe that is why I haven't struggled too badly. I also take something for my adrenal gland and lymph nodes because they are sluggish. I have started working out (usually just walking on a treadmill while I enjoy a good book) half an hour a day and have seen a HUGE difference in my digestion and energy. I am able to handle a few more carbs without trouble.
I am so excited for you and your newest breakthrough.

Congratulations on your discovery. Isn't it rewarding when something little can make such a big difference.

Wow that is fantastic. I think my firend had this a few years ago and she was miserable but found a way to correct it. I cant imagine not being able to eat carbs. Cheers to oatmeal and rye bread.

Thanks for stopping by my Oprah martini Facebook campaign. Let me know if there is anything else you need in the future.
