I have had this mole on my shoulder for years. It stuck up and my bra strap would always irritate it, mostly it was very annoying.
About a month ago, I read that flax seed oil would get rid of moles..... so I started putting flax oil on it several times a day. I should of put a bandaid over it because I ruined a lot of clothes with the oil.
After about 2 weeks, the mole started lifting up around the outside of it..... I wish I would of gotten a picture but I couldn't take it myself and Hubs wasn't home. A couple of days later I was putting my bra on and it caught the mole and ripped it almost off. I had to finish taking it off.
Below is the picture the same night it came off.
I put an antifungal on it and forgot about it. Today you can not even see where it was. I was going to take a picture but what is the sense.... there is nothing there.
Now, I don't think the flax oil took the mole away but I think it softened it up and it loosened it enough around the edges to come off easily.
I have another mole on my stomach which I need to work on. It is a flat mole so I don't know if the oil will work as well, but I am going to give it a try.
I almost forgot, My sister also has a mole on her back, when I told her what happened to mine, she started using the flax oil on hers. When I talked to her yesterday, she said it was starting to loosen around the edges. Maybe hers will come off also.
Update 11/5/2010: My sisters mole ended up all loose around the edges. I lifted up so much that she pulled it off.
My Daughter just told me today that after I told her about my mole, she went out and bought some flax oil. Her mole is now all lifted up and looks like it is ready to fall off.
So..... maybe I wasn't crazy. Maybe the flax oil does work.

I was kind of wondering about olive oil myself. I bet it might, at least to soften it anyway.
You have so much fascinating information! I'm going to try this.
I don't have any moles, but that is very interesting information. Thanks for sharing!
Very interesting, I'm definitely going to try it!
Wow, I've never heard of that! I might have to try it though. =)

Wow, this is fascinating! Oh, and a lot less painful than the method of mole removal I've been using, which is allowing the dermatologist to numb, slice and burn. I'll have to try this instead--much easier! ;)
I am stopping by from Simply Stacie's Blog. I was following a link to your post about Going on a Cruise with specific food issues. Cruise ships are very accommodating with food requests. I bet they probably have a Gluten Free Option if you request it before getting on the ship. I would call the cruise lines and find out what they offer. I have candida which has become manageable but is now complete Gluten intolerance and the way I would handle it is to eat my meals in the main dinning room where the waiter can take any special requests and find out any questions you have from the chefs. The other eating options on the ship you will probably be more on your own with like Buffets and stuff.
Wow, very interesting blog - I LOVE it. I had no idea that becoming candida free was such a difficult process. I have read through a lot of your posts, I can't wait to read the rest :)
I handed out awards tonight, so be sure to stop over to pick yours up :)

I wonder if fish oil would do the same? I have been taking fish oil for a while now.

Kim,
Thats funny because I was wondering if cod liver oil would work. I think other oils might work....at least to soften them and I think that was the key to it coming off.
I think that your blog is great and that is why I am giving you this award :)

Thanks for all you do to make the blogging community a great place to spend some time!!!
Hey Terry,
That pic of your mole looks interesting. The same has happened to a lot of my moles, They begin to crust at the edges and eventually fall off. Why do moles always come where it's impossible to see them? I had 2 on my back where I couldn't see them but they fell off. I don't put anything directly on my moles (usually can't reach them anyway) but I'm always particular with my diet. I put flax oil on just about all food thats table ready. Veggies, salads. I try to have 2 tb of flax oil daily. I'm also on the Gerson Therapy right now. It's very rigid. That also calls for 2 tb a day. Keep us posted about the moles.
I like your energy toward natural health. Best wishes

Manzanita,
I have never heard of the Gerson Therapy. I did look it up, although I need more time to read on it further.
It just might be something I am interested in on down the line.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Terry
That is great info.I will try that on hubby because I hate the mole he has.It scares me about cancer, but hasn't changed so it is propably ok.
I followed you - blp3 from the blog hop
Great and interesting blog, thanks for the follow. I've returned the favor and will keep checking back.
This comment is very far removed in time from the original post, but today my daughter and I decided to each try this with a mole. We have the band-aids so we don't ruin any clothes. I'm anxious to know if you have had any further results or if your sister's mole disappeared as well.
Thanks,
Patrice

i was wondering if anyone has tried this with skin tags?? i have a ton of them, small to big and I hate them!!
anyone have any luck with the olive oilZ? i have that on hand....thanks. impressed with your blog.....will be following!! thanks!!
Laura,
I also have skin tags. I haven't tried it on them...
Sometimes I get so annoyed with them that I just clip them off. That is not a good thing to do because they can get infected.
I have one on my neck now that I should try the oil on
Would this work on raised scars I.e. Flax seed oil on raised scars?
I don't know if it would work on raised scars, I don't have any to try it on. When I was younger, we used to use cocoa butter on scars.
