Incessant Hunger ~ Eating When I Am Not Really Hungry

Now that I have healed my candida, I am dealing with a lot of other problems caused by the candida.

One of my problems was Incessant Eating, I would be full but still feel I needed to shove more food down my stomach.  Then I would get sick and have a burn in my stomach all night long.   Even though I was sick, I still kept eating.  It became a vicious compulsive cycle.

My sister, who also has candida went to God's Little Garden, located in Cranberry, Pennsylvania.  She talked to Calvin Bickel R.H.  who owns the Cranberry Wellness Center (8140-677-9140).  

To make a long story short, we had a zinc deficiency.  Calvin sold her this bottle of Zinc Drink .   Maybe at lot of you trying to diet would benefit with adding zinc to your diet,  it could be your overeating is caused by a zinc deficiency.... and maybe not. 

I just know when I used the Zinc Drink, I no longer felt the need to overeat.

Here is how I used the Zinc Drink.
Put one teaspoon of the Zinc Drink on your toungue and hold it there for about 30 seconds (If you are low on zinc, it will taste like water or nothing at all)

Do this every day until it tastes really bad.  Stop using the Zinc Drink and go to a Zinc Dietary Supplement.


Zinc can help your body slim down, your hunger is regulated by zinc and zinc is also required for the proper absorption of food.   There are tests that show that being low on zinc increases the need for food by 50%.

That is why I wanted to eat constantly.   I still get hungry, but I no longer eat until I can almost puke.

Update....  I Also found out I had parasites.  Check out my side bar for the parasite cleanse

Oh My Gosh!!! I can't believe I found this article. I have been having this problem for a long time and have been gaining weight because of it. Why did you choose Metagenics? Can I use something else?

Hi Susan,
I chose Metagenics because the herbalist, Calvin Bickel, who my sister and I go to thinks they are the very best. I do know not all herbs are made safely.

You know, I've heard about zinc deficiencies and the affects. I'm so so glad you got it figured out. So....you're doing better with the eating thing?

Hmm. I wonder if I have that problem. I would do that all the time, and also because of bad feelings and boredom I would eat. Then I would take natural laxatives to get rid of the over consumption of food. Sooo not good for me, and i know it. My husband finally got me to throw them away, and now im kind of worried i will do it again. Maybe I will try this zinc drink and see if it helps...

I hope the zinc works for you. Your folic acid, potassium and magnesium might also be out of wack also. And possibly your B vitamins.

When things get out of wack they can really cause us problems.

I have been dealing with this a lot and figured it was just all a part of the deal. After I saw this post I started taking more zinc and have been for a week now. It is SO nice to not be starving ALL the time. I was getting so frustrated that I wanted to eat so much an hour or two after a decent sized meal. I am still eating frequently but not nearly as much and I think it is more along the lines of liking to chew more than being hungry. I like crunchy stuff so now I am eating more rice cakes, home made granola, and celery and hummus. Thanks for the heads up and making my life more comfortable.

Thanks Terry and Stacie for your insight here, mine is VERY similar..but if I go too long without eating {sometimes not even}..I go into full panic attack mode and it won't calm down until I eat some almonds or something with protein, anyone else have this? I would rather die than deal with this anymore it's that bad.

Have you tried B vitamins? I think it is B5 or B6 that you could possibly be low in.

I did say zinc. You might also be low in magnesium, potassium, B vitamins, folic acid.

I was low in all the above.

wow this is really interesting. I was always starving before I started the anti candida diet. I could eat the biggest meal and then sit back and say I was starving. I would then get strange looks from those around me so I would say i said the wrong thing and was actually full. But I wasnt! I wonder has this something to do with zinc too. Ive been eating lots of seeds on the new diet which im sure are full of zinc. Great to know.

My doc says my Zink level is okay, can I take a small amount anyway to help with hunger? I do suffer from hypoglycemia so hunger is constant...just doesnt help the figure. Any thoughts/suggestions.

Are you sure you don't have parasites? My doctor tested me for parasites and said I didn't have them. I also was tested at the herbalist and he said I didn't have them. They were both wrong. I was poluted.
That is why I had low zinc and when you have worms, you are hungry most of the time.

I tend to overeat, am about 30 lbs over. I take zinc, 400% of the RDA and B vitamins. I eat plenty of fibre and herring and brisling. And vegetables.
I don't know why my appetite is so strong, even after eating.
I will keep referring to your blog, perhaps new light will be shed so I can shed lbs and get lighter.
