When my candida is acting up, I sleep poorly.
When I am feeling well, I sleep much better although it seems I still don't sleep all night. I seem to wake up about 2 or 3 in the morning and I am thinking about my breakfast.
Since I need to sleep well tonight, I am going to have a cup of Valerian Root Tea and hopefully I sleep all night.
The first time I tried Valerian Root tea, I made the tea way to weak and did not sleep, In fact I think it might of kept me awake. Probably because I drank to much and had to pee all night long.
The second time I tried it, I only use 6 ounces of water and slept much better that night but I was not in my own bed so I am sure I could of slept better at my own house.
There is one problem with this stuff.....It SMELLS, really bad. I am not kidding you, it smells so bad that you won't know if you can drink it or not. Believe Me, it does not taste as bad as it smells, especially if you put some Stevia in it. But.....it doesn't taste good either.

It will take about one hour for tryptophan in the foods to reach the brain, so plan to eat your snack about one hour before bed.

I've always wanted to try melatonin for my sleeping problems. A few months ago I went to the doctor for one of those sleep studies because my sleeping issues had gotten pretty bad. I was feeling really lethargic and tired during the day. Well come to find out, I had sleep apnea. Just with one simple purchase, a http://www.cpap-supply.com/CPAP-Machines-at-CPAP-Supply-com-s/19.htm, I can now sleep without waking up in the middle of the night, feel refreshed in the morning, and I'm taking a step forward in dealing with my sleep apnea.
How wonderful for you Kaila. I am happy to hear you sleep well.
My Husband was also told he had sleep apnea but he refuses to get the machine. He started taking magnesium around April of 2010 and has been sleeping very well.
Thanks for your comment Kaila, I want to make as many options available to people as possible.
