Kale Juice

I was in the health food store talking to the owner about Candida, a woman over heard me and came up and said.. I had Candida, would you like to know how I cured it?  Of course, I said I certainly did.  She told me she made kale juice and drank it every day for 2 weeks.  She said no matter where she went she took her kale juice.   I am not sure if she was on a special diet but I decided since I am on a special diet, the kale juice can only help.

I went to the store and bought kale and made my juice.

I only used a couple handfulls of chopped kale and then filled the blender with water.

There it is...chopping away.

Cheers Everyone!!!

Now, this is the worst tasting stuff you ever want to try but believe me....It does work, I can feel the acid in my esophagus getting better every day.  I am on my 6th day and am going to try it for 2 weeks.   I may go longer, depending on how I feel and I may just drink it off and on to keep my body more alkaline.

By drinking the kale juice you are alkalinizing your body, which will indeed heal the acid. Look on Google for pH balancing in the body, and acid/alkaline food chart which will give you more food choices to eat besides just the kale. E-mail me (my address is on my profile page) if you want to discuss more.

I wish you hadn't said it tasted so bad, but I'll suck it up and give it a shot. After you blend it, do you strain it, or drink all the bits too? Also, do you eat regular candida friendly meals along with this?

Hello,
You can also juice the Kale in a juicer along with a bit of alkalinizing fruit to make it taste (a little better).

Thanks so much for the sites you sent me Lindy. I hope to check them over tonight.

Hi Marty,
I don't strain it but I probably wouldn't hurt one way or the other.

Lisa, Thanks, I am not using any fruits right now but that sounds so much tastier than the way I drink it. When I open my bottle I put it in, everyone comments that it smells just like mowed grass.

Hello,

Perhaps try adding lemon or/and garlic or/and leeks for taste.

I just created a soup from scratch with these ingredients(along with coconut oil and water)...tastes pretty good--needs a few more ingredients to make my soup even better...

These ingredients are also candida fighters--and they add extra spice. Good luck with the fight (even though you don't need it--you are on your way)

Oops, forgot to add...I used sea salt to taste. Also, be sure that the coconut oil is extra virgin.

Since this is my first attempt at the soup, everything was to taste.

I am looking forward to combining these ingredients into your kale juice!! Thanks so much!~

Hi Jane,
Thanks for the great tips, I have to confess.... I quit drinking Kale Juice because it tasted so bad... I am going to have to try spicing it up a bit.

Don't just do kale. Here's a juice I do which tastes AWESOME!:

6 leaves of kale
4 celery sticks
1 cucumber
2 granny apples
1/2 a lemon
a piece of ginger.

Juice them up in a proper juicer (not a blender if possible). I can't stop drinking this stuff, it tastes so good.

And if you have to stick with kale, just add a granny apple, and a small piece of lemon and ginger to it - you won't believe how much difference it makes.

Thanks Arjun!! It sounds like it would taste much better than just kale.
The plain kale does not taste so good and I am sure anything I add would be an improvment.

Hi I am so glad I have found this blog. Does anyone have a food ph chart they feel is reliabe. I find some that I feel to be but there is always some area of contradiction to aother one which also felt reliable. I am particulary concerned abut a couple items, quinoa, red lentil and adzuki bean. Some people say that legumes are always alkalizing if sprouted before cooked. Green apples find to be a ral plus in a drink but I am not real sure how they work for me. I get numb lips often and it has gotten so bad that they may just be going off that way or they may go off within seconds of putting almost any food in my mouth. Does anyone else out there in candi-land get this?
Regards BT

Wild Harvest,
I have a food PH chart too. But like you every one of them are different. I just try to eat what I know doesn't bother me.

Could your magnesium be low. The Medical Doctor (He also believes in candida) I am going to told me if my magnesium is low, nothing is going to work right.

I think quinoa is low alkalizing, so... that is not that great. Not sure about the Red Lentil, but adzuki bean is probably on the acid side. I have found most anything with any protein to it is acid forming.
