If you are like me, cold medications make you sicker. I get such acid when I take cold medications that I avoid them. Instead, I use the Netti Pot.
To use this you fill the pot with warm distilled water...I usually use plain tap water but you can decide for yourself what to do. Into the water you put a sailine solution that you buy or you can make your own with salt.
This works well for me and I have no idea how I ever lived without it. Plus, it is a lot less expensive than medication and it shortens my cold by days.

I don't know what I ever did without my neti pot. I use it on a VERY regular basis and it helps so much, especially now that I am trying to avoid so many meds because they cause more problems than they help.
I'b suffering from a code right now, so thanks.
I LOVE the neti pot! I used one for the first time last Spring, when my head congestion seemed like the worst ever. It was a miracle, and my sinuses cleared out like a charm quickly thereafter. What's weird is, I got to where I actually LIKED using it - i knew I was cleaning everything out, and that made me happY! I haven't had a cold since, but look forward to using the neti pot again whenever it happens!

Thank you for the follow, I am following you back. I didn't know about this "thingy", but the whole family could use this so I am thrilled to have learned of it.
Thanks for the follow - I'd heard great things about the Neti - I'll have to try it out as we have sinus issues in this family!
I would love to try this, but I'm a little apprehensive, as I've heard it burns.
Would you say that's true?
frazerbaz,
It does burn if you use to much salt in the water. It doesn't seem to burn when I use the packets that come with it or the correct amount of salt in the water.
I used the Neti pot when I had a sinus infection. It really did help and I really liked it. The weird thing is that now I can no long use it as it gives me a heavy pressure feeling. It kind of feels like I am deep underwater.
Thanks for following my blog. :-)
